SEKO Logistics Enhances Client Solutions and Commercial Strategy with New Hire & Promotion

SEKO Logistics (SEKO), the leader in end-to-end global logistics, announced the appointment of David King as Senior Vice President of Commercial and the promotion of Jack Hackett to Senior Vice President, Client Solutions, effective immediately. As Senior Vice President, Commercials, King will focus on enhancing SEKO’s international revenue optimization and commercial excellence, particularly in air, ocean, and e-commerce products. He will be instrumental in refining sales processes and strategies to support profitability both internally and through client acquisition and strategic carrier engagement.

We are very pleased to have David join our leadership team,” said Brian Bourke, SEKO’s Global Chief Commercial Officer. “SEKO stands to benefit from the contributions he will make to our air, ocean, and e-commerce products for clients, and to the broader strategic success of our company.”

King joins the company with over 20 successful years in analytics and revenue optimization within Fortune 500 companies in B2B and B2C transportation and logistics. Prior to SEKO, he held finance, sales, and revenue optimization positions at Maersk, United Airlines, American, Carnival Cruise and Continental Airlines. In these roles, King led cost-saving initiatives and delivered strategic growth plans. Additionally, his expertise in sustainability initiatives, such as liquified natural gas (LNG), aligns perfectly with SEKO’s Air and Ocean environmental goals, as well as its broader ESG journey. He is based in Miami and Chicago.

I am excited to join a team that delivers exceptional service quality and performance results,” said King. Together with my new SEKO colleagues, I look forward to enhancing our international air and ocean service offerings and further strengthening our global strategic partnerships.”

Promoted to Senior Vice President, Client Solutions, Hackett will build on his 14 years of exceptional leadership and deep commitment to client success with SEKO. In this expanded role, he will lead the global Client Solutions Group (CSG) in managing critical implementations, opportunities, bids and go-to market strategies for SEKO’s largest clients while maintaining their high standards for client service and satisfaction. In addition, Hackett will manage SEKO’s strategic clients and executive sponsors globally.

Jack has been instrumental in driving our client success strategies and expanding our Client Solutions Group, both in the UK and the US and now throughout the global network,” said Bourke. “His leadership and dedication have been pivotal in achieving remarkable growth and client satisfaction across our largest accounts globally. We are excited to see Jack continue to lead our global initiatives and further build upon our reputation for outstanding service.”

Hackett began his career with SEKO in the UK, where he played a pivotal role in developing the CSG team responsible for account management, solution design, implementation and service delivery. Under his leadership, the UK team consistently achieved high win ratios, client retention rates and wallet share growth. Hackett also established the CSG department in the US, building a robust team of nearly 20 professionals who manage some of SEKO’s largest accounts.

Promoted to Global VP of CSG in November 2022, Hackett has worked closely with CSG leaders in the UK and Asia to ensure seamless service delivery across regions. Today, the CSG team actively manages 17 of SEKO’s 20 largest accounts globally and is responsible for implementing and tracking the global net promoter score (NPS) for all major clients. Hackett will remain based in Chicago.

I am excited to take on this expanded role,” said Hackett. “I look forward to working closely with our talented CSG team and valued clients to achieve our ambitious goals and continue our growth trajectory.
