Collinson and NAB Team Up to Offer Global Airport Lounge Access for Credit Card Users in Australia
Collinson, a global leader in customer benefits and loyalty, has formed a strategic alliance with National Australia Bank (NAB), one of Australia’s largest banks, to provide global airport lounge access to NAB’s Rewards Signature credit card holders in the event of a flight delay.
This partnership aims to enhance credit card attractiveness and foster loyalty among both new and existing NAB customers by offering complimentary airport lounge access during flight delays. NAB will leverage Collinson’s innovative SmartDelay™ service, which provides real-time airport lounge access to cardholders and up to four companions in the event of a 60-minute flight delay.
Alex Lawrence, Global Head of SmartDelay at Collinson, commented: “Partnering with NAB, which serves 10 million customers, is a significant opportunity for us. As customer expectations from banks evolve, NAB’s proactive approach in offering valuable and relevant products is commendable. We are thrilled to contribute to their efforts in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty through this collaboration.”
With nearly one in four flights globally delayed by at least 15 minutes and 133 million travelers affected by delays exceeding one hour, addressing the stress and inconvenience of air travel is increasingly crucial. SmartDelay offers access to over 1,500 airport lounges or alternative amenities such as spas, sleep pods, and restaurant vouchers for travelers facing delays.
Tim Peters, Executive of Personal Lending Experience at NAB, added: “The NAB Rewards Signature card is now an ideal companion for both international trips and domestic getaways, with enhanced travel rewards and added peace of mind. The introduction of SmartDelay offers a new level of convenience, allowing customers to relax in the comfort of a lounge while waiting for their delayed flights.”
