DP World, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, has strengthened its freight forwarding operations in the Americas by appointing two senior leaders: Philip Blumenthal as Senior Director of Ocean Freight and Peter Dyeremose as Senior Director of Air Freight. These key hires underscore DP World’s commitment to driving significant growth in its freight forwarding services across the region.
As the company expands its freight management capabilities, these appointments emphasize its focus on enhancing core ocean and air freight operations. Blumenthal and Dyeremose are expected to play crucial roles in improving service offerings and developing a more robust freight network to address the rising demands of the Americas market.
Before joining DP World, Blumenthal was the Chief Transformation Officer at ECU Worldwide, where he spearheaded the development of a digital sales model and implemented a platform sales strategy that improved service offerings. His contributions were vital in the establishment of the Freightos Marketplace and the Ocean Freight Index (FBX). Blumenthal holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Bremen, specializing in hedging the volatility of ocean freight forecasting.
Dyeremose brings over 25 years of experience in logistics and air freight to DP World. Previously, he worked at Mainfreight Inc., overseeing air freight operations and managing global agent partnerships across the Americas. His extensive career also includes roles at DSV US HQ, where he developed the U.S. air freight sector and launched the cruise vertical, as well as at Kuehne + Nagel (K+N), where he supported the cruise and pharmaceutical sectors. Dyeremose studied Business at Hjoerring Business School.
Terry Donohoe, Senior Vice President of Freight Forwarding – Americas at DP World, stated, “We are excited to welcome both Philip and Peter.
