STARLUX Airlines Receives Esteemed Five-Star Major Airline Award from APEX for 2025

STARLUX Airlines, the luxury carrier based in Taiwan, has been honored with the esteemed 2025 Five Star Major Airline Award in the global APEX passenger rankings, reflecting its unwavering commitment to excellence. This recognition is a result of traveler ratings from around the globe, highlighting STARLUX’s outstanding in-flight experience, including exceptional cabin comfort, high-quality catering, diverse in-flight entertainment, robust connectivity services, and exemplary cabin service.

The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) awards are unique in that they rely solely on impartial, third-party passenger feedback. The 2025 awards witnessed an extraordinary level of engagement, with over one million verified flights rated across more than 600 airlines worldwide, using a rigorous five-star scale that imposed even stricter criteria than in previous evaluations.

CEO Glenn Chai expressed immense pride and gratitude in response to the accolade, stating, “At STARLUX, we are thrilled and deeply honored to receive this prestigious award. This achievement reflects the tireless dedication of our entire team. Launching just two months before the pandemic and commencing full-scale operations in 2023 makes this milestone even more significant. Our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety has truly made a difference, and we are excited to continue providing an exceptional travel experience for our passengers.”

Blending modern luxury with authentic Taiwanese heritage, STARLUX offers unparalleled comfort across all classes. Each cabin is thoughtfully designed to enhance the passenger experience, featuring earthy interior tones, award-winning crew attire, curated aromatherapy, and Michelin-rated cuisine.

With an average fleet age of just 2.06 years, STARLUX boasts the world’s youngest fleet, consisting of 24 all-Airbus aircraft, including the Airbus A321neo, A330-900, and A350-900, along with additional aircraft orders.

Currently, STARLUX operates 26 routes, covering a broad network across Asia and three major cities on the U.S. West Coast: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Starting December 22, service to Los Angeles will expand from daily to 10 flights per week, while the Seattle route will transition from three weekly flights to daily service in March of the following year.
