J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT), a leading supply chain solutions provider in North America, has announced several strategic changes to its executive leadership team.
- Nick Hobbs, who will continue as Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed President of Highway and Final Mile Services® (FMS).
- Brad Hicks, previously serving as Executive Vice President, has been named President of Dedicated Contract Services® (DCS®).
- David Keefauver will step into the role of Executive Vice President of People.
These changes, effective December 1, aim to align the expertise of J.B. Hunt’s executive team to deliver enhanced customer value and expand service offerings. “We are positioned to deliver exceptional value to our customers and shareholders across our full suite of services,” said Shelley Simpson, President and CEO. “With these updates, we anticipate opportunities to increase market share and see strong returns on our strategic investments.”
New Leadership Roles and Responsibilities
As President of Highway and FMS, Hobbs will oversee Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) and Truckload (JBT) business units. Known for his disciplined approach, he has led DCS and FMS to become premier providers in the fleet replacement and big and bulky service sectors. Hobbs, who recently marked 40 years with J.B. Hunt, will also continue his responsibilities as COO, focusing on Customer Value Delivery® and company-wide safety and maintenance performance. He will be supported by Eric McGee and Brian Webb, who will remain as EVPs of Highway Services and FMS, respectively.
Hicks, who has over 25 years of experience in J.B. Hunt’s DCS segment, will take on the role of President of Dedicated Contract Services. Previously, Hicks led DCS as EVP, where he strengthened client relationships and fostered new business opportunities. His previous experience includes serving as EVP of People, where he enhanced wellness programs, benefits, and workplace inclusivity.
In his new position as EVP of People, Keefauver will bring his people-centered focus to organizational personnel strategies. With over 29 years at J.B. Hunt, Keefauver has leveraged his operational experience and leadership skills to support growth and operational excellence within DCS.
