Leading marine terminal operator Carrix has officially announced the successful rebranding of Ceres Terminals as SSA Marine, following the completion of Carrix’s acquisition of the company. This strategic move, initially revealed in September 2023, marks a significant expansion of SSA Marine’s global presence and reinforces its capacity to deliver top-notch marine terminal operations and stevedoring services across various sectors, including container, breakbulk, cruise line, and auto industries throughout North America.
The acquisition particularly strengthens SSA Marine’s influence in the Gulf and Atlantic regions of the U.S., offering enhanced services and capabilities to its valued customers. Uffe Ostergaard, CEO of Carrix, expressed enthusiasm about the integration, stating, “Incorporating Ceres’ extensive operations and talented workforce into the SSA Marine family brings forth new efficiencies for our marine terminal operations in North America. Operating under a unified brand will enable us to leverage the combined industry experience and shared best practices of both companies, ultimately enhancing the level of service we provide to our customers.”
With this integration, the Ceres brand will be retired, consolidating all operations under the well-established SSA Marine brand. This streamlined approach aims to optimize operational synergy, delivering a seamless experience for customers and reinforcing SSA Marine’s commitment to excellence in marine terminal services.
