Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to become the world’s only airline to serve the prestigious Cristal 2015 champagne, thanks to an exclusive partnership with the renowned French champagne producer Louis Roederer.
Starting from December 1, 2024, Cristal 2015 will be served in SIA’s Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class cabins. Initially, this premium champagne will be available on flights between Singapore and major destinations including Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo. It will then rotate to other Suites and First Class routes every three months.
Cristal 2015, crafted by Louis Roederer’s cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, is a blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir. The grapes come from 45 vineyard plots across seven Grands Crus, reflecting Louis Roederer’s commitment to sustainable, meticulous viticulture and a winemaking process that emphasizes extended cellar aging to achieve depth and elegance.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at SIA, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: “This collaboration between two world-class brands showcases Singapore Airlines’ dedication to enhancing the travel experience for our valued customers. Offering an exclusive champagne like Cristal 2015 provides an unparalleled luxury that will delight our Suites and First Class passengers.”
Louis Roederer CEO Frédéric Rouzaud added: “Cristal 2015 exudes rich aromas, energy, and a vibrant freshness, embodying the chalky character of our vineyards with an exceptional balance. We’re thrilled to see Cristal onboard Singapore Airlines, offering travelers a taste of this iconic champagne.”
Cristal 2015 was selected by SIA’s distinguished panel of wine consultants for its refined balance and complex flavor profile. Jeannie Cho Lee, a Master of Wine and one of SIA’s wine consultants, noted, “Our goal is to provide passengers with the finest wines from exceptional vintages. Cristal 2015, with its nuanced flavors of toasted pine nuts, crushed stones, and white flowers, brings a unique experience, especially at 36,000 feet, making it a superb choice for our premium cabins.
