Transaction Network Services (TNS) has partnered with the Australian payments industry to introduce a fully managed infrastructure for the Australian Payment Network’s (AusPayNet) Community of Interest Network (COIN). The COIN is a high-availability, managed network designed for the secure transmission of payment files and transactions. Serving as a collaborative core infrastructure, it aims to shape the future of Australia’s low-value payments and provides an alternative to traditional point-to-point connectivity between payment participants. Currently, the COIN supports network services for cheques, direct entry, domestic cards, and BPAY bill payments.

Every BECS debit, eftpos, BPAY, and cheque transaction in Australia now relies on TNS’ end-to-end managed network service for the secure transmission of real-time authorization and settlement files. The service also features an online portal for real-time management, visibility, and reporting.
