This partnership marks a significant milestone in DHL’s expanding commitment to motorsport. In addition to this new collaboration, DHL continues to serve as the Official Logistics Partner for Formula 1, Formula E, and the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
- The new partnership covers the transportation, setup, and maintenance of critical infrastructure for Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3 events around the world.
- In Europe, DHL will deploy trucks powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), highlighting both organizations’ commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
DHL has officially partnered with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as its Global Logistics Partner, reinforcing its expanding footprint in the world of motorsport. The FIA, recognized as the global governing body for motorsport and a leading federation for mobility organizations, will rely on DHL to handle the logistics for its major racing series — Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3.
As part of this collaboration, DHL will be responsible for the transport, setup, and maintenance of essential infrastructure at racing events. This includes the FIA’s mobile office units, pit garages, and racetrack signaling equipment. Sustainability will be a defining feature of the partnership, with DHL deploying seven trucks powered by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) for logistics operations within Europe — a step aligned with both organizations’ commitment to lowering emissions.
This new role complements DHL’s existing motorsport engagements, as the company continues to serve as the Official Logistics Partner of Formula 1, Formula E, and the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Shared Vision for a Sustainable Future
Paul Fowler, Head of Global Motorsports Logistics at DHL, highlighted the synergy between the two organizations:
“The FIA is a long-standing pillar of the motorsport community, so taking on the role as its Global Logistics Partner is a natural fit for us. Our partnership goes beyond logistics — we share key values such as safety, precision, and environmental responsibility. Together, we’re promoting alternative energy solutions and smarter logistics to reduce the sport’s environmental impact, including through initiatives like the regionalization of race calendars.”
FIA Chief Commercial Officer Craig Edmondson also emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership:
“Our collaboration with DHL strengthens both the operational side of motorsport and our push for sustainability across the industry. As we continue to embed environmentally conscious practices into all areas of our work, including our partnerships, DHL brings both expertise and a shared vision for a more sustainable future in motorsport and mobility.”
This partnership marks a significant step toward greener, more efficient motorsport logistics — with DHL and the FIA driving innovation both on and off the track.
