Aptiv Drives Intelligent Edge Innovation From Vehicles to Robotics at CES 2026

Aptiv Showcases Intelligent Edge Technologies Across Mobility, Robotics, and Aerospace at CES 2026

A global industrial technology company, is demonstrating at CES 2026 how its Intelligent Edge solutions enable devices to sense, think, and act in real time—while continuously optimizing performance throughout their lifecycle. By bringing advanced computing and artificial intelligence closer to where data is generated, Aptiv is unlocking AI-driven innovation across automotive, robotics, aerospace, and other mission-critical industries.

At CES 2026, we’re demonstrating how Aptiv enables real-time perception, decision-making, and actuation—transforming how vehicles and other intelligent, connected devices deliver safer, more adaptive, and smarter experiences,” said Javed Khan, Executive Vice President and President of Intelligent Systems at Aptiv. “We’re leveraging technologies proven in millions of vehicles today and extending them into applications from robotics to aerospace and beyond.”

By processing data locally at the edge rather than relying solely on centralized cloud systems, Aptiv’s solutions deliver faster response times, enhanced reliability, and greater system-level optimization—critical for safety- and performance-driven environments.

Advancing the Future of Automated Mobility

In automotive applications, Aptiv is showcasing its next-generation end-to-end (E2E) AI-powered ADAS platform, designed to enable safer, more human-like driving and enhanced hands-free (L2++) autonomy across both highway and urban settings. The platform uses AI-driven perception, sensor fusion, and behavior planning that continuously learns from real-world driving data to improve performance over time.

Aptiv’s newly launched Gen 8 radar portfolio plays a central role, delivering industry-leading range, resolution, and object detection in all weather and lighting conditions. These radars are complemented by the Aptiv PULSE™ sensor, which integrates surround-view cameras with ultra-short-range radar to deliver seamless 360-degree perception across urban driving, highways, and parking scenarios.

Scalable Digital Cockpit and In-Cabin Intelligence

Aptiv is also unveiling its latest Digital Cockpit technologies at CES 2026, designed to enhance safety, personalization, and user experience for both passenger and commercial vehicles. Drawing on its strengths in user experience, ADAS, and middleware, Aptiv enables more effective collaboration between drivers and vehicles during hands-free driving.

The company’s Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and Cabin Monitoring System (CMS) combine advanced vision and radar sensing to deliver accurate occupant awareness. Vision-based sensing can replace traditional seat-based detection systems, reducing cost and complexity while improving flexibility and meeting stringent safety standards. Development is further accelerated through Aptiv’s virtual synthetic data environment, which generates scalable, realistic datasets for AI training.

Personalization features include Aptiv’s Cockpit Sound Suite, Face ID, and modular software capabilities built on the Aptiv Android Automotive Framework. Directional audio delivers targeted alerts without unnecessary distraction, while Face ID enables automatic adjustment of user profiles, vehicle settings, and ADAS preferences. These open, flexible solutions are supported by strategic partnerships that give OEMs greater control over software-defined vehicle experiences.

Enabling Connected Mobility with 5G and C-V2X

Aptiv is also highlighting its collaboration with Verizon to explore the potential of Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technology, combining 5G connectivity, edge computing, and automotive innovation to enhance road safety.

Powered by the Aptiv LINC™ Software Platform and Verizon’s Edge Transportation Exchange, the proof of concept demonstrates how low-latency, high-speed communication can support safer mobility ecosystems. Use cases include sharing detections of vulnerable road users—such as pedestrians or cyclists—between vehicles, even when line of sight is blocked.

The Aptiv Layered Infrastructure for Networking and Compute (LINC™) is a cloud-native, modular software platform purpose-built for complex, real-time embedded systems. Beyond middleware, LINC enables software-defined vehicles through capabilities including communications middleware, container management, software-defined networking, edge intelligence, and development tooling.

Expanding Intelligent Edge Capabilities Beyond Automotive

Aptiv’s CES 2026 pavilion also features solutions for robotics and aerospace, including an AI-powered collaborative robot and a next-generation autonomous mobile robot for scalable material handling. These systems integrate Aptiv’s PULSE sensor and advanced compute technologies.

Additional demonstrations include platforms such as the VxWorks® real-time operating system, Wind River Helix® Virtualization Platform, and Wind River Cloud Platform, underscoring Aptiv’s commitment to mission-critical applications across multiple industries.
