AIT Worldwide Logistics Expands with Acquisition of Krupp Trucking in St. Louis 2025

AIT Worldwide Logistics has officially announced its acquisition of St. Louis-based Krupp Trucking LLC (“Krupp”), a significant step that underscores AIT’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the global logistics market. The deal, effective January 1, 2025, will see Krupp’s operations, assets, and employees integrated into AIT’s extensive global network. Following the acquisition, the newly combined entity will operate under the AIT-St. Louis office name.

This strategic acquisition aligns two companies with complementary strengths, particularly in high-value technology logistics. AIT Worldwide Logistics, recognized as a leading provider of global supply chain solutions, is enhancing its capabilities in white-glove services and specialized freight forwarding through this partnership.

A Strategic Move for High-Value Logistics

“We believe there is a powerful synergy between our two organizations,” said Ray Fennelly, AIT’s Chief Development Officer. “This partnership combines AIT’s extensive global network and rigorous governance with Krupp’s high-quality services and logistics solutions. By joining forces, we are now well-positioned to enhance the customer experience, particularly when it comes to providing white-glove logistics services for the high-tech industry. We are delighted to welcome the Krupp team to the AIT network.”

Fennelly emphasized that Krupp’s expertise in handling shipments across multiple U.S. and international air, ocean, and road routes will integrate seamlessly with AIT’s global operations. Each year, Krupp handles nearly 2.5 million kilograms of freight, a testament to the company’s operational capacity and reliability. This acquisition reinforces AIT’s strategic investment in specialized logistics sectors, catering to industries that demand precision and excellence.

The Legacy and Expertise of Krupp Trucking

Founded by Scott Krupp, Krupp Trucking has grown to become a trusted name in high-value freight services. With more than 26 years of industry experience, Krupp has built a reputation for reliability, innovation, and customer-first service. Formerly an independent contractor with SEKO Logistics, Krupp’s transition to AIT marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

“Our team has always gone the extra mile for our clients,” said Krupp. “Joining AIT allows us to maintain our ambitious spirit while gaining access to an enhanced organizational structure, streamlined processes, and increased opportunities for our people. There is no better place for us than AIT, and we are excited to build our strong future as key members of this world-class organization.”

Krupp will continue to play an active role within the company, serving as the city manager of AIT-St. Louis. This continuity ensures that customers and employees alike can rely on the same level of personalized service and leadership that has defined Krupp Trucking for decades.

Enhanced Capabilities and Infrastructure

The acquisition includes 115,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in Earth City, Missouri, a fleet of more than 60 over-the-road and local trucks, and an experienced staff of nearly 100 associates. This expanded infrastructure significantly bolsters AIT’s operational capacity in the region, enhancing its ability to serve customers efficiently and effectively.

The Earth City facility is strategically located to support a broad range of logistics services, from local deliveries to international freight forwarding. The addition of this facility complements AIT’s existing network of offices and warehouses, providing enhanced coverage and capabilities for clients in the Midwest and beyond.

Advancing White-Glove Services

One of the key drivers of this acquisition is the opportunity to expand AIT’s white-glove logistics services. These specialized services cater to high-value, delicate, and time-sensitive shipments, often involving advanced technology products. By leveraging Krupp’s expertise in this area, AIT aims to deliver even greater value to its clients in industries such as electronics, healthcare, and aerospace.

White-glove logistics require a meticulous approach to handling, transporting, and delivering goods. The acquisition positions AIT as a leader in this niche market, offering tailored solutions that meet the unique demands of high-tech industries. Customers can expect enhanced service levels, improved tracking and visibility, and a dedicated team committed to excellence.

A Shared Commitment to Growth and Innovation

Both AIT and Krupp share a common vision of growth, innovation, and customer-centric service. This shared commitment has been instrumental in bringing the two organizations together. By aligning their strengths, the companies are poised to deliver enhanced solutions and new opportunities for their clients.

Ray Fennelly highlighted the importance of integrating talent and expertise as part of AIT’s growth strategy. “The addition of Krupp’s experienced team members strengthens our organization and enables us to provide even greater value to our customers. This acquisition is not just about expanding our footprint—it’s about elevating our service capabilities and fostering innovation across the board.”
