American, Alaska, and Hawaiian Airlines Unite at JFK’s Terminal 8, Enhancing oneworld Connectivity
American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines are streamlining travel through New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) by consolidating their operations at Terminal 8. Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines will complete their move to Terminal 8 by October 2025, centralizing gates, ticket counters, and guest services for improved convenience and connectivity.
This transition begins today, with Hawaiian Airlines launching its daily JFK–Honolulu (HNL) service from Terminal 8. The move will bring the number of oneworld® carriers operating out of Terminal 8 to ten, reinforcing the terminal’s role as a key hub for international and domestic connections.

Passengers transiting through Terminal 8 will benefit from more seamless connections, access to world-class lounges, and an improved terminal experience. As part of a $125 million commercial redevelopment led by American Airlines, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports, travelers will soon enjoy over 60 new shopping and dining options.

Premium customers flying in First Class or in lie-flat cabins on Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines for flights over 2,000 miles from JFK will now enjoy access to American’s Admirals Club and the premium Greenwich Lounge, which features upscale dining, a curated wine table, and a luxurious atmosphere.
