Eddie Sorg: Chief Commercial Officer

Previously serving as Chief Operating Officer of Asset-Light Logistics, Eddie Sorg has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this role, Sorg will oversee marketing, sales, customer support, customer experience, and yield functions. His focus will be on optimizing workflows across teams to maximize revenue velocity. By aligning revenue-generating functions under one leader, ArcBest aims to provide a unified approach to securing and seamlessly serving customers.

With 30 years of experience, Sorg brings a wealth of expertise to the position. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in numerous initiatives that have significantly impacted ArcBest’s profitability and customer satisfaction. His leadership in implementing space-based pricing for less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments and advancing pricing methodologies for Managed Solutions has been instrumental in enhancing the company’s market position. Sorg’s deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics will continue to guide ArcBest’s customer-centric strategies.

Christopher Adkins: Chief Strategy Officer

Christopher Adkins, previously Vice President of Yield Strategy and Management, has been named Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In his new role, Adkins will oversee the company’s strategy management, data science, and process improvement teams. His leadership will focus on advancing ArcBest’s most critical initiatives, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing data-driven decision-making processes.

Adkins has over 12 years of experience at ArcBest and has been a driving force behind several transformative initiatives. Notably, he contributed to the Dynamic LTL pricing initiative and played a key role in automating volume price quotes and tractor detention charges. These efforts have streamlined operations and improved customer experiences. Adkins’ ability to lead high-impact strategic projects positions him as a vital leader in ArcBest’s ongoing evolution.

Dennis Anderson: Chief Innovation Officer

Dennis Anderson will continue to serve as Chief Innovation Officer following his appointment in September 2024. He will remain focused on innovation and technology initiatives that address customer challenges, create efficiencies, and unlock new revenue streams. Anderson’s efforts will accelerate ArcBest’s growth while ensuring the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements in the logistics industry.

Steven Leonard: Transition to Retirement

Steven Leonard, who has been with ArcBest for 24 years, plans to retire in June 2025. Until then, he will continue to lead the company’s asset-light logistics operations through a transition period. He joined ArcBest in 2012 as a Pricing Analyst and has since held various leadership positions, including Manager of Engineering and Technology, Director of Yield Strategy, and Vice President of Yield Strategy and Analytics. Adkins’ educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas. His strategic vision and expertise in data-driven decision-making will be instrumental in advancing ArcBest’s goals.

Eddie Sorg, ArcBest’s new Chief Commercial Officer, has been with the company since 1995.
