FlyJets, a charter aviation marketplace and flight-sharing exchange, has announced the Beta launch of JetGPT™, an automated flight-finding assistant designed to transform how private aviation customers search, evaluate, and book flights. Unveiled on February 2, JetGPT represents a significant step forward in applying artificial intelligence to the private charter ecosystem, offering real-time access to aircraft availability, pricing, and operational data through a conversational, large language model (LLM)–driven interface.

Unlike traditional private aviation search tools that rely on rigid filters, dropdown menus, and predefined parameters, JetGPT allows users to interact with the FlyJets platform using natural language. Flyers can dictate or type requests in plain English, enabling a more intuitive and flexible way to discover empty legs, shared flight opportunities, and full charter options sourced directly from operator datasets.

Redefining How Flyers Access Charter Information

At the core of JetGPT is its ability to aggregate and interpret large volumes of real-time data from FlyJets’ Aircraft Provider Partners. This includes up-to-date information on aircraft availability, pricing structures, routing options, and shared flight “spaces” offered through FlyJets’ Exchange platform.

By presenting this information through a conversational interface, JetGPT eliminates the need for users to understand industry jargon, manually input complex search criteria, or navigate multiple screens to find relevant results. Flyers can instead describe what they are looking for—such as a specific route, budget range, aircraft category, or time window—and receive tailored responses almost instantly.

The system is designed to handle complex, multi-step requests while maintaining flexibility. Whether a user is browsing opportunities weeks in advance or searching for last-minute availability, JetGPT adapts to the request without requiring rigid formatting or structured queries.

Similarly, the tool enhances visibility into FlyJets’ Exchange platform, where Flyers can share flights and sell individual “spaces” on booked charters. By integrating Exchange data directly into JetGPT, FlyJets enables users to discover flight-sharing opportunities as naturally as they would ask a question.

According to FlyJets Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jessica Fisher, JetGPT reflects a broader shift in how the company approaches information delivery and user experience.

“With JetGPT, FlyJets is really taking our information technology capabilities to the next level—in terms of automatically and consistently procuring a wide breadth of accurate and relevant information about aircraft from our Aircraft Provider Partners and delivering it via a simple and conversational interface directly to Flyer members,” Fisher said.

She emphasized that the development of JetGPT was driven largely by user feedback following the launch of FlyJets’ Exchange platform earlier in the year.

“FlyJets has been diligent in terms of listening and responding to client feedback since the launch of our flight-sharing Exchange this summer, and we determined that JetGPT was the most effective and flexible way to be able to deliver a broad range of information-related requests instantaneously,” Fisher added.

The decision to introduce JetGPT in Beta form reflects FlyJets’ intent to refine the platform in collaboration with its user base, ensuring that the tool evolves in line with real-world use cases and expectations.

Practical Use Cases Demonstrate Platform Depth

FlyJets has outlined several example prompts that illustrate JetGPT’s versatility and practical value for both Flyers and aircraft operators.

In one scenario, a user might request:
“Compile a list of all empty legs going in and out of Van Nuys Airport this month and include three photos of each aircraft.”

In response, JetGPT can generate a comprehensive list of relevant flights, present aircraft details and images, and offer the ability to export the information into Excel or CSV formats. From there, users can move directly into booking workflows without leaving the platform.

In a more complex example, a Flyer could ask:
“Book a flight on a super-midsize jet from Teterboro to Opa-Locka Airport that comes to less than $22,000 all-in, if available; thereafter, sell three spaces on the flight via the Exchange for $3,500 each.”

JetGPT is designed to handle this multi-step request by identifying suitable aircraft, initiating or placing a hold on the booking, and automatically listing available “spaces” on the Exchange. Notifications can then be distributed directly to other Flyers through the FlyJets app, streamlining what would otherwise require multiple manual actions.

Another example includes compiling available shared flight opportunities on specific aircraft categories or routes within a defined timeframe. By presenting aircraft specifications, locations, and dates in a single response, JetGPT simplifies decision-making for users comparing multiple options.

Enhancing Transparency and Speed in Private Aviation

Private aviation has traditionally been criticized for its lack of transparency, fragmented data sources, and slow response times. JetGPT aims to address these pain points by centralizing information and making it accessible in real time.

For Flyers, this means faster access to pricing and availability without prolonged back-and-forth communication. For Aircraft Provider Partners, it offers a more efficient way to distribute inventory and reach potential customers through a standardized, automated interface.
