We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility for Hunter Truck – Scranton, set to open on January 6, 2025, at 2900 Stafford Avenue, Scranton, PA 18505. This marks a significant milestone in our continued commitment to providing exceptional service to the greater Scranton area. As a proud addition to the Hunter Truck family, our new location will not only continue to serve our loyal customers but also introduce a comprehensive and cutting-edge Peterbilt dealership, providing full-service solutions that go above and beyond.
President Jeffrey Hunter shares the excitement: “We are proud to bring our customers a brand-new, top-tier facility in Scranton, designed to elevate our service offerings. Our mission remains steadfast in delivering personalized sales, parts, service, body shop repairs, and leasing to meet the diverse needs of our Scranton-area customers.”
This fall, Hunter Truck – Scranton will open the doors to an expansive 45,000-square-foot building that includes 24 service bays, alongside a dedicated 13,000-square-foot body shop facility located on the same site. The team at Hunter Truck is excited to present a property that has been meticulously designed for maximum accessibility and efficiency, including a covered drive-under canopy, a spacious air-conditioned service area, and a host of other advanced features tailored to enhance both customer and employee experience.

“We are excited that the construction of our new facility is progressing rapidly, and we’re looking forward to its completion,” said Justin Morgan, General Manager of Hunter Truck – Scranton. “We are deeply appreciative of the patience and continued support from both our dedicated employees and loyal customers during this exciting transition.”
Hunter Truck – Scranton will replace the former Hunter Truck – Pocono location in Bartonsville, PA. This new facility is strategically situated to better serve our customers, enabling us to be closer to the heart of the heavy-duty trucking industry in the region. By consolidating our efforts into this advanced facility, we can continue to provide superior customer service with a greater emphasis on convenience and accessibility.
Steven Gower, Service Manager, echoed this sentiment: “We are all excited about the new shop, which features an enhanced driver’s lounge and an overall layout designed to better accommodate our customers’ needs. In addition to our in-house services, we also offer road service, ensuring that our customers receive the support they need, no matter where they are located.”
One of the most exciting features of the new Scranton facility is its innovative body shop. Equipped with the latest tools and technologies, our body shop will offer services for frame repairs, wheel alignments, refinishing, and much more. We are particularly proud of our Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) downdraft paint baking booth, which will allow us to deliver a flawless finish on every truck we work on. With advanced equipment such as the BeeLine frame press and Hunter alignment tools, we are prepared to provide the highest-quality repairs and ensure that every vehicle we service looks as good as it performs.
“Our new body shop is designed to keep us at the forefront of truck collision repair in the region,” said Michael Santarsiero, Body Shop Manager. “This top-of-the-line facility will help us establish direct repair agreements with all major insurance carriers, while also attracting some of the best technicians in the industry. Having access to such a cutting-edge environment will allow us to provide unmatched service to our customers.”
In addition to the extensive service and body shop facilities, the new Scranton location will feature a parts department stocked with over $4.5 million in inventory. This substantial investment ensures that our parts team can meet customer needs efficiently, with twice-daily deliveries to a wide geographical area that includes eastern New York, northeast Pennsylvania, and northeast New Jersey. Our showroom, designed for walk-in customers, and a dedicated call center will also ensure a smooth and seamless experience for anyone seeking parts or advice.
“Our parts department in Scranton will house one of the largest truck part inventories in northeast Pennsylvania,” said John Wilson, Parts Manager. “With this vast inventory, a knowledgeable and experienced parts sales team, and our industry-leading parts delivery service, the Hunter Truck – Scranton customer experience will be unparalleled.”
We are immensely excited to officially open the doors to Hunter Truck – Scranton this winter. We look forward to serving our customers and enhancing their trucking experience with our high-quality service, parts, leasing, and body shop solutions.
