Serving as the lead entity for both flight operations control and traffic management, Korean Air successfully carried out critical tasks such as mitigating safety risks tied to low-altitude urban flights, coordinating airspace transitions among multiple operators and traffic management systems to enable multi-route operations, and ensuring.
Mission stability during abnormal or unexpected conditions through extensive simulation-based preparation. Leveraging its decades of experience as a global airline, Korean Air demonstrated the strength of its proprietary UAM platform, ACROSS (Air Control & Routing Orchestrated Skyway System), which supports real-time monitoring of flight paths, streamlines air traffic flow.
And offers alternative routing during emergency scenarios to maintain safe and efficient operations in complex urban airspace. Looking ahead, Korean Air plans to work closely with government and industry stakeholders to advance UAM commercialization in Korea, further strengthen the national UAM ecosystem, and enhance automation and performance.
ACROSS through ongoing government-supported R&D. The K-UAM Grand Challenge is a national initiative intended to validate safety and define operational standards for future UAM deployment.
