LYNX Logistics (“LYNX”), a leading third-party logistics provider, today announced the appointment of Shane Salazar as the company’s first CEO, signaling its new phase of commercial growth. Salazar will work alongside current President & Founder, Francisco Garcia, effective immediately.
A seasoned sales leader with nearly 25 years of supply chain and logistics experience, Salazar will oversee all marketing, business development and sales functions. He will also be responsible for increasing the company’s national reach by tapping into emerging markets. Salazar comes to LYNX from SEKO Logistics, where he served as Managing Director, overseeing the company’s freight forwarding and warehouse operations in the San Francisco market. Prior to SEKO, Salazar held sales management positions at DAVACO, Crane Worldwide Logistics, CEVA Logistics and Eagle Global Logistics.
“I am beyond thrilled to have Shane join LYNX during such a transformative time,” said Garcia. “His industry expertise, extended network and ambitious nature will be invaluable in delivering long-term sustainable growth. Our complimentary skillsets will enable LYNX to become the gold standard for high-value, high-touch business assets.”
Formerly a product design engineer in the medical device industry, Garcia started LYNX after discovering a void in the logistics sector – and a real opportunity – for collaboration between a company’s manufacturing team and its logistics provider. Pairing Garcia’s deep understanding of the medical device industry with Salazar’s commercial background and growth mindset will enable LYNX to evolve as a well-known and trusted national brand.
“I’ve known Francisco for many years, experiencing firsthand the time and resources he’s invested to build LYNX into an incredible, state-of-the-art logistics facility in Silicon Valley,” said Salazar. “I couldn’t be more excited to partner with him to grow our client base and expand our footprint nationally.”
A certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), LYNX boasts a custom designed and built 96,000-square-foot, mixed-use warehouse facility in Fremont, CA, which includes 8,500 rack and bulk pallet locations specifically designed for clients in the high-value, high-tech and medical device industries. Located 25 minutes south of the Port of Oakland, the fifth busiest container port in the U.S., LYNX is strategically positioned to respond quickly to customer demands and market fluctuations. The company is also ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified, underscoring LYNX’s commitment to providing consistently high-quality, efficient and best-in-class services, particularly within the medical device space.
