Old Dominion Freight Line Partners with Folds of Honor to Support Veterans

Old Dominion Freight Line (OD) is excited to announce a partnership with Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. Through this collaboration, OD’s corporate donation will specifically support scholarship funding for students pursuing careers in supply chain management, operations, transportation, or a commercial driver’s license (CDL).

With this partnership, OD aims to reinforce its commitment to honoring the nation’s heroes and their families. Together with Folds of Honor, OD will work to expand scholarship opportunities for the families of military personnel and first responders across the country.

“We’re honored to partner with Folds of Honor and support their impactful mission,” said Marty Freeman, President and CEO of Old Dominion Freight Line. “We deeply appreciate the sacrifices of our service members and first responders. This partnership demonstrates our dedication to supporting their families and helping them access educational opportunities.”

By funding education for students entering fields such as supply chain management, transportation, or CDL training, OD seeks to inspire future industry leaders and contribute to the ongoing growth of these essential sectors.

“Folds of Honor is thrilled to partner with OD,” said Folds of Honor founder and CEO, Lt. Col. Dan Rooney. “This partnership will strengthen our mission and bring greater awareness to Folds of Honor, increasing scholarship funding for the families of America’s military and first responder heroes.”

Founded in 2007 by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, a decorated F-16 Viper Fighter Pilot, Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 62,000 scholarships, totaling close to $290 million. In 2022, the organization expanded its mission to include first responders, such as police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics.
