Samsung Expands Self-Repair Program to Include Foldables and Home Entertainment Products

In a major initiative, Samsung is broadening its  self-repair program, encompassing a wider range of models, product categories, and parts to facilitate an extensive array of repairs. Strengthening its longstanding collaboration with  Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, a prominent provider of replacement parts and supply chain solutions, Samsung aims to grant customers access to genuine parts, tools, and repair guides for  smartphones, tablets and PCs, foldable devices, and home entertainment products. With this expansion, Samsung’s self-repair options will cover nearly 50 models, establishing it as one of the most comprehensive programs in the industry.

Launched in August 2022,, the Samsung self-repair program serves as a convenient avenue for consumers to prolong the lifespan of their devices. This recent expansion is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to include more devices over time as the program matures. Fourteen Galaxy smartphone, tablet, and PC models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and Galaxy Book2 series, have been integrated into the program. Additionally, the program now extends to the home entertainment category, incorporating 20 visual display products, such as the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector.

Mark Williams, Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America, emphasized, “This expansion is one more way Samsung is showing its continued commitment to provide our customers with choice. For those who want to take repair into their own hands, we’re supplying them with more options for a wider array of products to extend the life of the products they love.”

The expansion provides Galaxy owners with a broader assortment of self-repair parts, allowing them to address issues with speakers, SIM trays, side keys, volume keys, display assemblies, back glass, and charging ports on phones and tablets. Galaxy Book owners can now replace left and right speakers, fans, displays, batteries, power keys with fingerprint readers, touchpads, front and rear cases, and rubber feet. Samsung offers low-cost tool kits, available separately or bundled with parts, facilitating various device repairs.

To extend self-repair options into the Home Entertainment category, Samsung customers can access genuine parts, tools, and step-by-step repair guides for select 2023 TVs, monitors, soundbars, and the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector via SamsungParts.com. Common tools like a Phillips-head screwdriver can be used for these repairs.

Samsung’s commitment to sustainability and reducing e-waste is evident in its efforts to empower consumers to keep their devices longer.
