Seaside LNG proudly announces the successful completion of its first LNG delivery to the Carnival Jubilee, a cruise ship powered by LNG, stationed in Galveston, Texas. This significant achievement follows the establishment of a term bunkering agreement with Carnival Corporation & plc The milestone delivery occurred on December 30, 2023, after meticulous planning and coordination with all stakeholders, including the Port of Galveston. Notably, this operation represents the first in-port ship-to-ship LNG bunkering delivery not only in Galveston but also along the entire U.S. Gulf Coast.
To support its operations in Galveston, Seaside LNG relocated its barge, the Clean Jacksonville, from Jacksonville, Florida. This vessel has successfully completed over 350 bunkering operations, demonstrating Seaside’s commitment to safety and operational excellence.
In tandem with this achievement, the Clean Everglades, the newest addition to the Seaside LNG fleet, recently completed its inaugural delivery. The shipment was made to Isla Bella at TOTE Maritime’s terminal near Jacksonville, Florida. This delivery was part of the regular schedule outlined in TOTE’s long-term service contract with Seaside’s maritime transportation company, Polaris New Energy. The Clean Everglades, an articulated tug barge with a capacity of 5,500 cubic meters of LNG, was acquired by Seaside in October 2023. TOTE Services serves as the operating partner for both the Clean Jacksonville and Clean Everglades.
Tim Casey, CEO of Seaside LNG, expressed enthusiasm for the strong start to 2024, stating, “The Seaside LNG team is excited to start 2024 off strong with these two deliveries. We appreciate the trust our customers put in us to arrange these important fueling operations. We also recognize TOTE Services for their contributions as a reliable operating partner. As the demand for LNG as a cleaner maritime fuel continues to grow, our team and barge fleet are ready to deliver.” Seaside LNG remains at the forefront of the LNG industry, contributing to the adoption of cleaner and more sustainable maritime fuels.
