Uber Becomes Official Rideshare and Delivery Partner for LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games and Team USA
Uber, the global leader in mobility and delivery services, has been named the official rideshare and on-demand delivery partner for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as Team USA. This major partnership underscores Uber’s commitment to innovation and service as it helps facilitate seamless transportation and delivery experiences during one of the world’s most anticipated sporting spectacles.
Enhancing Mobility During the Games
As LA prepares to welcome athletes, fans, and stakeholders from around the world, Uber will play a pivotal role in helping people move around the city with ease. Leveraging its sophisticated technology and deep operational experience, Uber will design and implement mobility strategies tailored for the unique scale and complexity of the Games.
With venues located throughout the sprawling Los Angeles metropolitan area, Uber will work closely with LA28 organizers and transportation partners to support a city-wide network of optimized pickup and drop-off zones. This effort aims to ensure a reliable, efficient, and multi-modal transportation system for athletes, spectators, officials, and volunteers alike.
“Mobility is at the heart of what makes the Olympic and Paralympic Games extraordinary,” said Casey Wasserman, Chairperson and President of LA28. “Uber’s commitment to innovation and seamless service aligns with our vision to deliver an unparalleled Games experience that showcases the very best of what our city and these athletes represent.”
Uber’s offerings during the Games will include rideshare vehicles, e-bikes, and scooters—supporting LA28’s vision of a “transit-first” Olympic and Paralympic Games. The partnership reflects a modern, sustainable approach to mobility, one that aligns with the city’s broader goals for accessibility and environmental responsibility.
Supporting Athletes and Spectators with Uber Eats
In addition to rideshare services, Uber Eats—Uber’s globally recognized food delivery platform—will be an integral part of the Games. The platform will power on-demand food and convenience delivery to the Olympic and Paralympic Village, ensuring athletes have access to the meals and essentials they need during their stay.
Select venues will also feature Uber Eats mobile ordering, enhancing the spectator experience by allowing fans to order food and beverages with ease, minimizing wait times and maximizing enjoyment.
“We’re honored to partner with LA28 and Team USA,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. “It’s a tremendous privilege for us to help people from across the globe move around LA and offer on-demand delivery to the Olympic and Paralympic Village. The drivers, couriers, and merchants who will show up for visitors and locals are the backbone who make the partnership come together.”
Amplifying the Games Through Media Collaboration
As part of this multifaceted agreement, Uber will also collaborate with NBCUniversal to support its coverage of the LA28 Games and the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. This media partnership will bring fans closer to the action, offering new ways to experience the Games through storytelling, athlete profiles, and immersive content.
“With its leadership in tech and innovation, Uber embodies the spirit of the Olympics,” said Mark Marshall, Chairman, Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal. “As we prepare to showcase the incredible athletes competing in Milano Cortina and Los Angeles, we look forward to collaborating with Uber throughout our extensive coverage and highlighting the seamless mobility experience they’ll provide during the Games.”
A Legacy of Olympic Hosting
The 2028 Games will mark Los Angeles’ third time hosting the Olympics, having previously welcomed the world in 1932 and 1984. It will also be the city’s first time hosting the Paralympic Games. The LA28 Games are being organized by a privately funded, nonprofit entity, with support from corporate partnerships, licensing programs, ticket sales, hospitality, and a substantial contribution from the International Olympic Committee.
By partnering with Uber, LA28 reinforces its commitment to providing a world-class experience for everyone involved—athletes, fans, and residents alike—while showcasing the innovation, inclusivity, and dynamism that defines modern Los Angeles.
