Union Pacific Railroad Earns Perfect Score in Human Rights Campaign for Erecting an Inclusive Workplace Culture

Union Pacific Railroad scored 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023- 24 Commercial Equality Index, a commanding public standard relating to companies with a strong track record of embracing LGBTQ equivalency in practices, programs, and benefits.

This is the alternate time in a row when Union Pacific earned a 100 score.

“ This award represents the hard work and grim drive within Union Pacific to produce a company culture that embraces diversity and addition as a strength and cultivates a plant terrain where all workers are treated with quality and respect, ” said Debra Schrampfer, Union Pacific Railroad’s Chief Diversity Officer.

To earn top marks, companies must meet the Commercial Equality Index’s criteria in four orders pool protections against demarcation, indifferent benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families; supporting an inclusive culture and commercial social responsibility; and responsible citizenship.

This Award reaffirms people who identify as LGBTQ, and our abettors, belong at Union Pacific, ” said Ryan Kula, chairman of Union Pacific’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Employee Resource Group known as Islands. “ It also underscores the road’s commitment to erecting a pool that reflects the communities in which their workers live and work. ”
