Guests will travel to Essen/Mülheim Airport before boarding a modern Zeppelin airship inspired by the early aviation designs of Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. Ascending to just over 1,000 feet, travelers will glide over forests, lakes, and historic industrial landscapes.

Looking ahead to 2027, Viking will introduce additional land extensions in Southern Europe. The Turin & Barolo itinerary highlights Italy’s Piedmont region, including Baroque architecture, wine culture, and nearby Alpine cities such as Chambéry.
The Seville & Córdoba extension in Spain focuses on Andalusia’s cultural heritage, featuring UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Alcázar of Seville and the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, reflecting the region’s Islamic and Roman influences.
Oberammergau Passion Play 2030 Return
Viking also confirmed its return to Bavaria for the Oberammergau Passion Play in 2030, one of Europe’s most historic cultural events. The company is now accepting early expressions of interest for future departures tied to the performance schedule.
