Mr. Yardley currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS), a critical component of the northeastern United States’ energy infrastructure. In this role, he leads a natural gas pipeline company that plays an essential role in delivering energy to constrained markets, ensuring reliability and supply in a region facing both growing demand and evolving energy policies.
Prior to his current position, Yardley held several senior executive roles that shaped the course of major energy companies. At Enbridge Inc., a global leader in energy delivery, he served as Executive Vice President and President of Gas Transmission and Midstream. In that capacity, he was responsible for managing one of North America’s largest portfolios of natural gas transmission pipelines and storage assets, spanning 17 systems across the United States and Canada. His leadership at Enbridge was instrumental in advancing initiatives related to energy transition, operational efficiency, pipeline integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Earlier in his career, Yardley served as President of U.S. Transmission at Spectra Energy, where he directed the operations and strategy of a major energy infrastructure company. His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Duke Energy as Group Vice President of Transmission and at Boston Gas Company as Vice President of Marketing, where he gained foundational experience in customer engagement, marketing strategy, and regional energy planning.
