Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil, building, and specialty construction company, announced that its subsidiary, Five Star Electric, has been awarded a subcontract by AECOM-Hunt for a two-phase project at the new JFK Terminal 6 (T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The project includes providing lighting, lighting controls, and associated electrical branch wiring. Construction of T6 is currently underway, with an expected opening in 2026.
Work on the project will begin immediately, with the first phase slated for substantial completion by the first quarter of 2026 and the second phase by the first quarter of 2028. AECOM-Hunt serves as the design-build partner for JFK Millennium Partners, the consortium selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) to build and operate the $4.2 billion world-class T6 terminal.
The value of the contract, which remains undisclosed, will be included in Tutor Perini’s backlog for the third quarter of 2024.
